Chioma Ejimofo is a Black-British writer/director who works in multiple mediums. In 2023, she was a recipient of the Roundhouse Film Fund; with this funding, she wrote and directed her directorial debut, 'Goodbye Train'. For this, she received the Wiggin Emerging Filmmaker Award.

‘Goodbye Train’ was programmed in the following BIFA and BAFTA qualifying festivals, British Urban Film Festival, Women X Film Festival (where she was awarded the 2024 Rianne Rising Star Award), Sunrise Film Festival (where the film was awarded Best Cinematography 2025) and the Academy Award qualifying Urbanworld Film Festival and the Shiny Awards. Her films have screened at Everyman on the Canal in Kings Cross, the BFI and the Royal Society of Arts.

She has directed and shot diverse projects, collaborating with several artists. These projects ranged from subversive short films to corporate training content and music videos.

Chioma began as a runner for Smuggler. Following this, she swiftly progressed to Production Assistant roles, contributing to productions for Sky, ITV and ViacomCBS. Transitioning to Production Secretary roles, Chioma has worked globally on diverse shows, from BBC to E4 in South France, working alongside production giants like Fremantle Media. Most recently, Chioma has contributed to short films and commercials in various capacities, gaining credits and invaluable experience as a Director’s Assistant to Director Luke Casey, and contributing to advertising campaigns for ASOS and DAZED. She is a current BAFTA Connect member and has received mentorship and support from BAFTA-winning Director Stella Corradi and BIFA-nominated Warda Mohamed for her short films. Chioma's latest short film, Mollusca, blends fashion and poetry, and her upcoming short film, 'Arlo's Last Day', is in pre-production.

As an ambitious director, Chioma is dedicated to honing her distinctive style and amplifying underrepresented stories imaginatively. Currently, she is developing her next short and feature.
